Santa Rosa police are investigating an incident on Tuesday where a man allegedly asked a teenage girl several times if she wanted a ride.

SANTA ROSA - Police in Santa Rosa are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred Tuesday when a man allegedly asked a teenage girl several times if she wanted a ride.
The incident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. while she was walking to school with her younger brother and another female elementary school student, police said.
The three were walking north on Dutton Meadows near Cass Road when the driver of a silver pickup truck stopped, rolled down his window and asked her if she wanted a ride, police said.

The teen said no, and the driver asked two more times before he drove off as other vehicles approached the area, police said.
The teenager did not know the driver, who was described as a man in his 30s with a darker complexion and short brown hair, according to police.

On April 14, Patch reported Rohnert Park police were looking for a suspect who attempted to lure a teenage girl into his car. According to authorities, that subject was described as being a heavy set white male in his 30’s or 40’s, with short brown hair and dark colored eyes.
