Quake Rattles Sonoma County: Did You Feel It?

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Santa Rosa early this morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake happened about 6:03 a.m., about 4 miles east-southeast of the city, and was recorded at a depth of approximately 0.13 miles.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

Thelast earthquake in the area struck on Jan. 8. The 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit seconds after midnight just under 8 miles east of Cloverdale and the Geysers.
