Resurrection Roller Girls Starts 2018 Season

Local roller derby league rolls into 2018

Resurrection Roller Girls, a local Sonoma County roller derby league, has started its 2018 season strong. With over 40 skaters on the rink at a time, their 'Boot Camp' training event promises to bring plenty of fresh faces to the competitive game. This training event marks the start of the new season, with training continuing on at Cal Skate Rohnert Park. The league practices three days a week, and invites new skaters to come try it out every Tuesday.

Modern roller derby has become a serious and well regarded sport since its early incarnation, even being featured on ESPN during high level games. It's a game of true athleticism, skill and strategy. Players in this local league can play competitively or join the 'Rec League' with less time commitment. Resurrection welcomes new skaters to Cal Skate every Tuesday at 8pm, where they learn the basics and start their journey to roller derby glory.

The first game of 2018 will be held at Cal Skate on April 21 against Nor Cal Roller Girls. The full season schedule and links to purchase tickets can be found at their website, http://www.resurrectionrollerg....
