Reward Offered In Homicide Investigation In Camp Meeker
The death of a 30-year-old Camp Meeker man was reported as a suicide but detectives believe he was killed.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A man's death last month in Camp Meeker was initially reported as a suicide but is now being investigated as a homicide, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
James Bauer, 30, was found dead around 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at a house on Market Street in Camp Meeker.
Deputies were dispatched to a reported suicide at the home and confirmed Bauer suffered at least one gunshot wound inside the house, the sheriff's office said.

They also found a gun.
As part of standard procedure, a coroner detective responded and after an initial examination, believed Bauer's death was suspicious.

Detectives with the sheriff's Violent Crimes Unit launched an investigation which revealed Bauer's death was a homicide.
Detectives have made no arrests in the case and as of Thursday were still searching for suspects.
A reward of up to $2,500 is offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects in Bauer's death.
Authorities asked anyone with information to call 707-565-2185 and ask for sheriff's Detective Nick Berg.
