River Otter-Themed Open House and Presentation by Megan Isadore

We are thrilled to announce that our June 14 Open House has a special theme – River Otters!

As part of our FREE Open House from Noon to 3pm, The River Otter Ecology Project will be on hand with displays and hands-on activities all  about river otter biology, ecology, and abundance in the watershed. This event is open to the public and will also include the docent-led tours of our grounds. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the views from the Heron Hall patio area.

Then beginning at 3:00pm, we are pleased to offer a very special presentation on “Romping Back to the Bay: River Otter Recovery in Local Watersheds” by Megan Isadore, Executive Director of the River Otter Ecology Project, on what they've discovered about local otters, and how that information will help otters and everyone who depends upon healthy watersheds to thrive. Megan will discuss natural history of river otters, using the ROEP's own video of local otter behavior and habits to illustrate. The talk is $10 at the door, no RSVP necessary.
