Rohnert Park Fire: Overloaded Outlet Suspected
BREAKING: A wall outlet had electronics plugged in it and assorted items covering the plugs.

ROHNERT PARK, CA -- A loaded electrical wall outlet covered with several items is suspected of causing a fire at a Rohnert Park residence the night of Dec. 15, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
The fire was reported shortly after 9 p.m. The source appears to be a wall outlet with electronics plugged in it and assorted items covering the plugs, public safety officials said.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control at 719 Racquet Club Circle and limited the damage to one room and its contents.

The residents were displaced from their home, but made other living arrangements. An estimate of the damage caused by the fire hasn't yet been established, according to the Department of Public Safety.
