Rohnert Park Founder’s Day Returns September

ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — Rohnert Park’s Founder’s Day will return in September with a community parade, classic cars, food, and entertainment.

The date for the celebration is set for Sept. 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Rohnert Park Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane.

The event will feature a Community Parade, Classic Car Show, Chili & Rib Cook-Off, vendor and food booths, a kids activity area, beer and wine booth, nonprofit booths, historical displays, and live entertainment throughout the day, according to the Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce.

The Hots and The Juggs – Judds Tribute Band will take the stage for an afternoon performance.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety will also participate in the parade with public safety vehicles, including big trucks, lights, and sirens.

After the parade, the department will host a booth focused on emergency preparedness. Public safety officials will share resources designed to help residents and their families prepare for emergencies.

Visitors may also receive a go bag and emergency supplies to help start their home preparedness efforts.

The parade will temporarily close portions of Snyder Lane.

Officials advised people traveling through the area to plan ahead, allow extra time, follow posted signs and detours, and watch for pedestrians and emergency personnel.

Admission to Founder’s Day is free.
