Rohnert Park Gang Fight Report Leads To 3 Arrests: Police

BREAKING: Two Santa Rosa men and a Petaluma man were arrested when officers responded to the Rohnert Park Community Center.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Three allegedly documented members of the Sureno street gang were arrested late Saturday night outside the Rohnert Park Community Center after a report was received about a fight that had broken out in the parking lot between suspected gang participants, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

Rohnert Park DPS Commander Aaron Johnson said the call came in about 11:45 p.m. and that as officers arrived at the community center, "they immediately discovered that the majority of subjects were intoxicated."

Three of the people contacted -- later identified as Ruben Sonato-Vega, 22, of Santa Rosa, Ezequiel Corona, 23, of Santa Rosa, and Salvador Carreon-Lopez, 21, of Petaluma, -- allegedly "became belligerent and resisted officer’s commands on scene," Johnson said.

Sonato-Vega was booked into a Sonoma County jail on suspicion of public intoxication, as was Corona.

Carreon-Lopez, who was reportedly sitting in his vehicle in the area of the parking lot where the altercation took place, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication as well as possession of a loaded firearm after officers allegedly found a gun in the center console of his vehicle.

According to Johnson, officers did not locate a victim in the altercation and the other people involved in the alleged fight were uncooperative with officers' investigation.
