Rohnert Park police officers arrested a man Wednesday morning on suspicion of attempting to murder his three roommates.

ROHNERT PARK, CA -- Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officers arrested a man early Wednesday morning on suspicion of attempting to murder his three roommates.
Officers are still investigating the incidents that happened Tuesday and this morning at a residence in the 900 block of Emily Avenue where four male Santa Rosa Junior College students were living, Sgt. Jeff
Justice said.
Officers went to the residence Tuesday afternoon when one of the roommates allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend. That roommate posted bail, was released and returned to the residence, Justice said.

Another resident, Jeremiah Harris, 26, allegedly loaded a .380-caliber handgun, pointed it at the roommate who was arrested and released and pulled the trigger but the gun didn't fire, Justice said.
That roommate jumped through a front window to escape and received minor cuts from the breaking glass, public safety officials said.

Harris allegedly tried to shoot another roommate but the gun did not fire, and that roommate also fled the house. Harris then allegedly called a third roommate out of his room and pointed the gun at him, according to public safety officials.
The third roommate stayed in the house, and the roommate who was arrested and released called authorities.
Officers responded at 1:51 a.m. and found the two roommates who escaped hiding at a home nearby. When officers found Harris down the street, he got on his knees and put his hands up, public safety officials said.
He allegedly then told officers he was angry and tried to shoot and kill his roommates. He said he left the handgun on the porch of another house, and officers found a semi-automatic pistol there, Justice said.
Harris did not seem to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time he was interviewed. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail under $1 million bail on suspicion of felony attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment of one of his roommates.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court.
Justice said the department is not releasing the name of the roommate who was arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend because he was a victim of the domestic violence at the Emily Avenue home.
