Rohnert Park Man Arrested After Downtown Petaluma Fight

Two men were arrested after a fight involving a knife broke out Saturday night in downtown Petaluma.

PETALUMA, CA — Two men were arrested on Saturday night after a fight, involving a knife, broke out in downtown Petaluma.

After the fight was reported to police, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Kentucky Street, where they found Rohnert Park resident Luis Alvarez Solorio, 27, and Petaluma resident Ali Arango Ruiz, 23.

Police said Ruiz immediately became non-compliant and was arrested on suspicion of obstruction.

Solorio, who matched the description of the person with a knife, walked away from officers but was quickly located. Officers discovered he was on probation and found a knife on his person. He was arrested on suspicion of brandishing his weapon.

Both men were taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
