Rohnert Park Man Dead After Crashing Into Tree
The 75-year-old had veered off Rohnert Park Expressway; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

ROHNERT PARK, CA -- A 75-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing his minivan into a tree in Rohnert Park the afternoon of Dec. 12, according to public safety personnel.
The crash was first reported at 2:17 p.m. in the vicinity of Rohnert Park Expressway and Country Club Drive.
Emergency crews found a 2000 Toyota Sienna in the eastbound lanes of Rohnert Park Expressway that had crashed into a tree in the median and spun around before coming to rest in a turn lane.

Witnesses said the driver, later identified as Diab Hammoudeh, had veered left before the crash and that he didn't appear to brake.
Witnesses said he was driving with the flow of traffic and didn't appear to brake before veering off the road. Police said it was unclear if he suffered a medical emergency.

Traffic was blocked in the area for over an hour while crews cleared the car's wreckage from the scene.
