Rohnert Park Pet Food Pantry Seeks Donations To Restock

ROHNERT PARK-COTATI, CA — A pet food pantry is asking the community to restock its shelves so local families can keep feeding their dogs and cats.

The Rohnert Park Animal Services pet pantry needs wet and dry food for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens.

The donations go to families struggling to afford pet food, not to felines and canines at the city-based shelter.

Sometimes people just can't afford pet food in the moment, or just can't get food to their pets on a regular basis, Kalen Massy, an employee, said.

Donors can leave food on the front picnic table at 301 J. Rogers Lane anytime, or bring donations inside during lobby hours, Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The agency accepts open bags if they are sealed, labeled, and in good condition.

Donations can also be made through the pantry’s Amazon Wishlist.

"We just take care of the animals. If they need food, we help get it to them," Massy said.
