Rohnert Park Police Seek To ID Kidnapping, Rape Suspect
Police are also advising residents to be aware of their surroundings and to take extra precautions for personal safety.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Police in Rohnert Park are investigating a reported kidnapping and sexual assault and are asking members of the community for help in identifying and tracking down the suspect. According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, the victim told investigators that on Thursday, Feb. 27, they were with a friend at Benicia "B" Park, 7450 Santa Barbara Dr.; when the friend left at 4:45 p.m., the victim was reportedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
"The suspect was described as a black male adult, between 30-40 years old with a muscular build, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, and clean shaven," Rohnert Park DPS said.
The victim told police the suspect was wearing a dark red hat, a black long-sleeve shirt, dark jeans ripped at the right knee, and white Nike Air Force 1 shoes with a metal logo on the laces.

"The victim also reported the suspect was wearing multiple belts," police said. "The belts were described as a Vans brand checker belt, a brown leather woven belt, and a multi-color designer belt."
Police said Tuesday they had no description of the suspect's hair or weight to provide.

"Rohnert Park Public Safety asks the community to help identify the suspect and call Public Safety Dispatch Non-Emergency at 584-2600 with any information related to this incident," officials said.
Community members can also submit information through the Rohnert Park Crime Tips Anonymous Hotline by sending an email to CRIMETIPS@RPCITY.ORG or by calling 584-COPS (2677).
"Given the nature of this incident, please be aware of your surroundings and take extra precautions for your personal safety," Rohnert Park DPS said. "Be alert and know who is around you."
