Rohnert Park Police Support Anti-Human Trafficking Effort
January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and Rohnert Park police are encouraging participation in a number of events.
ROHNERT PARK, CA -- January is designated as National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and has been recognized as an annual event since January 2010, when President Obama sought to combat the epidemic of human trafficking in this country.
During the month of January, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, along with the Sonoma County Human Trafficking Task Force is encouraging participation in a number of events throughout Sonoma County. They include:
- Zumba for Trafficking, 10:30 am Jan. 14, Parkpoint Health Club, Healdsburg. See event flyer for more details.
