Rohnert Park Traffic Collision Leads To DUI Arrest
A woman was arrested by Rohnert Park police for driving under the influence Friday evening, after crashing her vehicle into a traffic pole.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — A woman was arrested by Rohnert Park police for driving under the influence Friday evening, after crashing her vehicle into a traffic signal utility pole.
Police said a call came in at 9:38 p.m. Friday about a traffic collision involving a single vehicle into a traffic signal pole at the intersection of Commerce Boulevard and Hunter Drive.
Officers arrived on scene to find the driver, Carolina Fonseca-Elizalde, still inside her vehicle. Officers and paramedics confirmed she was not injured. As officers spoke with her, they detected an odor of alcohol and believed she was intoxicated.

The officers said they tried to perform a DUI investigation but that Fonseca-Elizalde was unable to finish the sobriety test, due to her level of impairment.
She had preliminary alcohol results nearly three times the legal limit of .08 percent. She was arrested and transported to Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
