Rohnert Park Woman Grabbed, Groped By Stranger
BREAKING: The victim said she was returning to her apartment when a man sexually assaulted her.

ROHNERT PARK, CA -- Police are seeking tips from the public regarding a case where a local woman says she was grabbed and groped by a man as she was returning to her apartment.
At about 9:40 pm on Dec. 19, Rohnert Park Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the apartments on the west end of Laguna Drive for a report of a man who grabbed a 31-year-old female victims buttocks and then ran off in the direction of the shopping center nearby.
The victim reported she was returning home from a trip and had her luggage in her hands when she was walking through her parking lot towards her apartment. As she approached the apartment complex she noticed a Hispanic male walking towards her. As he approached, he said, “hello” and then when they were side by side he reached down and grabbed her buttocks. As the suspect grabbed her, she felt him pulling her in the opposite direction she was traveling. She stated that she believed he was trying to pull her somewhere.

The victim began to scream which caused the suspect to release her and run away. He was last seen running down the north side of the complex towards the movie theater parking lot. The victim said she had never seen the suspect in the area before.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male adult, about 5-feet-6 inches to 5-feet-8 inches tall, with an average build. She said that he had a dark goatee or a mustache and his skin complexion was brown. She also stated he was wearing a black blazer type jacket with dark colored pants and white sneaker type shoes.

Officers were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the suspect. The victim’s name and address are not being released due to the nature of the crime.
