Cops Seeking Bandana-Wearing Bank Robber

The Exchange Bank in Roseland area was robbed by male wearing blue bandana over his face, police said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a bank in the Roseland area near Santa Rosa this afternoon, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery happened at the Exchange Bank at 400 Dutton Ave. near Sebastopol Road, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said. The sheriff's office issued an advisory around 1:15 p.m. advising people to avoid the area.

The robber had a blue bandana over his face. He was last seen fleeing on foot west on Sebastopol Road.

The money the robber took is in a pack that explodes maroon dye, Crum said.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic or black male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches with a thin build and wearing a dark blue button-up shirt and gray beanie cap. He was armed with a dark-colored handgun and left running west on Sebastopol Road.

"He left with a maroon colored dye pack and may have dye on him," deputies said.
