Santa Rosa House Fire Displaces Residents

The Red Cross is helping the residents and their pets.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Three people were displaced by a fire at a home in Santa Rosa on Thursday afternoon, according to the city's Fire Department.

The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the 300 block of Myrtlewood Drive, where firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a single-story home.

Crews extinguished the fire within about 20 minutes with no injuries reported.

The American Red Cross responded to assist the displaced residents, who also have a dog and a cat, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
