Santa Rosa Man Shot After Leaving Bar: Police

SANTA ROSA - A man is in the hospital after being shot leaving a bar in downtown Santa Rosa Thursday, according to police.

Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Mendocino Avenue, and arrived to find a 37-year-old man who had been shot several times.

According to police, the victim exited an area bar and was walking on Carrillo Street when an unknown suspect or suspects approached him, took out firearm arm and opened fire.

The suspect fled the area and is still outstanding.

Police said the victim was attended to by medical personnel before being transported to a hospital to be further treated for his injuries.

There was no information on the condition of the victim.
