Police are searching for a man after a shooting incident in front of a Santa Rosa market Wednesday night.

SANTA ROSA, CA - Police are searching for a man after a shooting incident in Santa Rosa Wednesday night.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting outside of a market on West 9th Street, just before 10 p.m. According to police, a man got into an argument with a transient subject, and both parties brandished knives.
The suspect then left the area.

Police say approximately 10 minutes later the suspect returned to the area and pulled his vehicle up next to a group on the sidewalk before getting out of his vehicle.
According to Rohnert Park police, the suspect began shooting at the victim immediately.

The victim ran into the market to hide, and the suspect fled the area. Police say there were no injuries in the shooting.
The suspect, who fled the area following the shooting, was described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old, standing five feet seven inches. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and fled in a white SUV.
