ROHNERT PARK, CA — Police were continuing their search Monday for a 15-year-old Rohnert Park girl reported missing four days ago. Veronica Elizabeth Prado was last seen by her parents around 10 p.m. Thursday; when they woke up in the middle of the night early Friday, she was not in her bedroom but she'd left a note, according to a police sergeant with the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

In the note, Veronica told her parents she was leaving but that she would be back, Rohnert Park DPS Sgt. Keith Astley told Patch. She also asked them not to call the police, Astley said.

Rohnert Park police have interviewed her friends and family, and are continuing their search for the missing girl although they have little to go on, Astley said.

"We are working leads but we don't have much to go on," Astley said.

Veronica mentioned a boyfriend in her note, but none of her friends or family know of her having a boyfriend or who he might be, the sergeant said.

Veronica is described as a 5-foot-1-inch tall Hispanic girl who weighs 116 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing red, black and white Nike Air Jordan athletic shoes and carrying a black Tommy Hilfiger bag.

Because Veronica has been entered into the Missing Persons Database, anyone who sees her is encouraged to call their local police department. If she is seen in Rohnert Park, call 707-584-2630.

Astley said anyone who sees Veronica outside of Rohnert Park or knows her whereabouts should call their local police department so that officers in that city or community can quickly respond and not lose sight of her.
