Sonoma County Deputies Make 1 Arrest in Major Vandalism at High School
BREAKING: Damage to the building is estimated at over $100,000.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A Guerneville man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught in the act while vandalizing a high school in Santa Rosa.
At about 7 pm on Dec. 19, fire personnel responded to an alarm at Cardinal Newman High School. When the fire department arrived at the schools administration building they observed shattered front glass doors and severe damage inside the building.
As the firefighters were attempting to make entry they notice a male adult inside the building throwing objects and breaking interior glass windows. The firefighters backed out of the building and notified the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived on scene and made entry into the administration building. The deputies located the male adult in one of the offices and took him into custody without incident. The male was identified as Andrew Faulkner, 23 years old, with an address out of Guerneville.
The damage was severe inside and outside the building with windows throughout the campus smashed and statues torn apart. CSI Detectives were called out to walk the campus and take video of the damage. Initial damage is estimated at over $100,000. At this time Faulkner is believed to have acted alone.

Faulkner was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail for burglary, felony vandalism and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Deputies contacted an on-call judge to enhance Faulkner’s bail. Faulkner’s bail is set at $125,000.
