Sonoma County's Largest Book Sale Returns: 50,000 Books, DVDs And CDs

The Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries book fair takes place over four days — including a half-price day and a bag day for $5/bag.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — After a nearly three-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic coupled with wildfire threats, Sonoma County's largest book sale returns Friday, Sept. 30 to Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Hall.

The four-day book fair runs through Monday, Oct. 3. It is co-sponsored by Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries and the Sonoma County Library system.

"An inventory of more than 50,000 gently used books, DVDs and CDs will be available for very affordable prices," said Jeff Weber, a member of the board of directors of Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries.

Here is the schedule of events:

2 p.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, not open to the public (members-only preview for Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries)

3 p.m.- 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, open to the public

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, open to the public

10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, open to the public (Half-price day!)

2 p.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, open to the public (Bag Day, $5/ bag)

Masks and social distancing are requested during the event at Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Hall, 1351 Maple Ave. in Santa Rosa.

There is free parking for the event.
