Southwest, Commerce Boulevard Roundabout Project: What To Know
"Detours will need to be followed to get to your destination," the city of Rohnert Park said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Construction is set to begin Tuesday on the Southwest and Commerce Boulevard Roundabout project in Rohnert Park, city officials announced Monday.
The project, which was previously delayed by weather, will increase safety, improve traffic flow, decrease commute times and reduce carbon emissions.
Work consists of building a roundabout, new sidewalks with ADA ramps, bio-retention basins, and new landscaping.

The roundabout is a significant roadway and sewer improvement project so there will be an unavoidable impact to the neighborhood including:
- Closure of the Southwest and Commerce Boulevard intersection (no northbound or southbound access from Cotati to Southwest/Commerce Boulevard North).
- Noise, dust and vibration from heavy trucks, equipment and construction activity.
Access to all businesses and side streets will be maintained, but there may be temporary delays during the repositioning of construction equipment, the city said.
As the intersection will be closed, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as those depicted by black arrows in the below map:
