Investigators believe the victim saw the suspect commit a traffic violation and followed the suspect to confront him about it.
That is when the suspect is believed to have pulled out a handgun and shot at the victim several times.
According to police, the suspect was seen driving away from the scene.
The victim tried to drive away but ended up crashing into another car.
Detectives from SRPD's Violent Crimes Team responded and assumed the investigation.
