Teen Suffers Major Injuries In Crash Near Forestville
The crash was at 7 a.m. this morning on River Road.

A Santa Rosa teenage boy suffered major injuries in a crash in the Forestville area of unincorporated Sonoma County this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
Kyle Brittain, 16, was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 west on River Road west of Wohler Road around 7 a.m., CHP Officer Jon Sloat said. The Ford crossed into the eastbound lane of River Road into the path of a Toyota Sequoia driven by Audra Peterson, 47, who swerved off the road and sideswiped a tree on the right shoulder, Sloat said.
The Ford truck also swerved off the right side of River Road and struck a tree off the right shoulder, Sloat said.

Peterson was not injured, while Brittain suffered major facial injuries, Sloat said.
He was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
