The End Is Coming

Well I am gearing up for this wave of computer issues and the ending to XP. I should have been more prepared about a month ago but computers/laptops are flying in my shop with some very nasty infections. You have a Mac? Think again, I am almost seeing 50/50 now with Mac's being infected also. Looking for a Tech, please forward and have them send resumes to me. info @ RohnertParkComputers.com

So I am asking for a few things:

1) Please be backing up your data. $80 external hard drive, backup software free, peace of mind if you get your data lost, encrypted, or deleted.

2) If you or someone you know has XP, please be prepared to be infected, get all kinds of warning messages from Microsoft, get ready to retire it, recycle it, or get an upgrade to Windows 7 for $99

3) If you are planing on upgrading to Windows 7 or 8 and are having someone you know do it, please make sure you have done a backup that you are comfortable with just in case your data doesn't come over. My fee is $75 for the work plus the $99 Windows 7.
a) with many PC re-installs, user will be required to supply their Office software to re-install. That would be Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Many users don't have that disc and lic because it magically was installed on the computer! Office 2003 is not compatible with Windows 7 or 8 so you might have to upgrade to 2007, 2010, or 2013 depending on what your computer specs are.

4) 2014 is projected to be one of the worse for computer crimes and also the Gov is cracking down on business that are not secure. If you don't have the right security like a firewall and virus protection you could be allowing these criminals to use your internet to hide their identity. This makes you a criminal and I don't want to even go there so I am asking to make sure you guys are all ready for this storm heading our way for 2014.
