'Throwback Thursday' Cocktail Of The Week: Harvey Wallbanger

When was the last time you enjoyed this "spiked" Screwdriver, Rohnert Park and Cotati?

Time to turn on the disco tunes (play the video below to get you in the mood) and travel back to the ‘70s when life was groovy and funky! One of our favorite throwback drinks from the ‘70s is the Harvey Wallbanger.

According to askmen.com, this cocktail was inspired by a California surfer named Harvey, who liked to drink Screwdrivers spiked with Galliano liqueur. One day, after losing a big surfing contest and having a particularly bad day on the water, he headed to his favorite bar and washed out his sorrows in his drink of choice. After having a few too many, he tried to find his way out of the bar and walked smack into the wall. From that day on, he became known as “the Wallbanger.”
