Traffic Delays Expected During Sonoma State University Graduation
With multiple ceremonies taking place both Saturday and Sunday, the Rohnert Park DPS encourages drivers to plan ahead.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — With an estimated 12,000 people expected to attend Sonoma State University graduation ceremonies this weekend, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is advising of traffic delays and congestion.
Commencement ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. Traffic delays are expected beginning around 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. both days, with heavy traffic congestion lasting for about 30 minutes on the following roadways:
— East Cotati Avenue from Petaluma Hill Road to U.S. Highway 101;
— Rohnert Park Expressway from Petaluma Hill Road to U.S. Highway 101; and
— Petaluma Hill Road from Adobe Road to Snyder Lane.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety encourages drivers to use alternate routes to travel throughout the city during the times listed above.
