Transient Accused In T-Mobile Burglary, Looting: Rohnert Park DPS

Rohnert Park DPS said the suspect broke into a T-Mobile store and filled a cart with cell phones, tablets, laptops and other merchandise.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A burglar at a Rohnert Park T-Mobile store was stopped in his tracks early Friday, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. A burglary alarm was triggered at 5:15 a.m. at the business located at 591 Rohnert Park Expressway, and a remote surveillance team for T-Mobile could see a masked man inside the store, police said.

Officers responded and also reported seeing a masked man, and said he was trying to leave the store with a shopping cart full of T-Mobile merchandise. The store's metal security gate was down, though, preventing the suspect from leaving with his cart through the front of the store, police said.

Officers had to break a window to get inside the business, where they arrested the masked man without incident, Rohnert Park DPS said.

An investigation revealed Miller got into the T-Mobile store by climbing onto the roof, then dropping down into the business through a roof hatch, police said.

Jail records show Miller remained in custody Friday morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.
