One of the girls had to undergo surgery.

Two 13-year-old girls were struck and injured by an SUV while walking to school in a crosswalk this morning, a Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety sergeant said.

Both girls suffered multiple abrasions. One of the girls has been released from Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and the other is having surgery for a broken leg, Sgt. Jeff Nicks said.
