Two Men Ordered to Stand Trial in Motel Shooting That Paralyzed Woman

Two aspiring Santa Rosa Junior College football players were ordered Monday to stand trial in connection with a shooting at a motel that left a woman paralyzed.

Ronnie Paul Threadgill, 23, of Santa Rosa, was held to answer to the attempted murder of Kenisha Jackson, 24, of Sacramento, a prostitute, and assault with a firearm on her pimp and other enhancements alleging personal use and intentional discharge of a firearm at the Motel 6 in Rohnert Park on July 2.

Koa James Sibley, 19, of Santa Rosa, was held to answer to being an accessory.

Police testimony at the preliminary hearing in Sonoma County Superior Court indicated Sibley drove Threadgill to the motel where Threadgill paid to have sex with Jackson and shot her during a robbery attempt.

Threadgill allegedly hit Jackson’s pimp as he fled the motel. Sibley allegedly picked up Threadgill after the incident.

Rohnert Park police said Threadgill left a distinctive pair of sunglasses at the motel, and he was seen wearing them in a video taken near the scene of the crime.

Both defendants were trying out for the Santa Rosa Junior College football team at the time of the incident. They are scheduled to re-enter pleas to the charges Sept. 9.
