Update On Sonoma Co. Mobile Home Fire: $70K Damage Recorded

Three residents displaced; no injuries reported. [Breaking]

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A two-alarm fire at Petaluma Estates on Monday caused $70,000 worth of damage to a mobile home and its contents, Petaluma firefighters said.

Firefighters responded to the doublewide mobile home at 503 Mendocino Drive at 2 p.m., Petaluma Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Holden said.

All occupants of the home were accounted for, and no injuries were reported. The fire was under control at approximately 2:45 p.m., Holden said.

Three occupants were displaced from the mobile home, which Holden said was considered a complete loss. The blaze caused a $50,000 loss on the mobile home and $20,000 on its contents, of which Holden said there were "an extreme amount."

The Red Cross was called in to assist with shelter and clothing, Holden said.

Fire station cover units from Lakeville, Wilmar and Sonoma covered calls for service in the city, Holden said.

Firefighters from the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District, Cal Fire, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the Wilmar Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire, a dispatcher said.
