Valley Fire at 67,200 Acres, 30 Percent Contained
Firefighters will get one more day of cool temperatures before a warming trend starts on Thursday.

The Valley Fire that started in Lake County on Saturday and has spread to Napa and Sonoma counties has burned 67,200 acres and is 30 percent contained, according to the latest situation report from Cal Fire.
The blaze, which started at 1:24 p.m. Saturday in the Lake County area of Cobb, has killed a 72-year-old woman and injured four firefighters.

Cal Fire officials said at least 585 homes and hundreds of other structures have been destroyed, and at least 9,000 others remain threatened.

More than 2,600 fire personnel remain at the scene of the quick-moving wildfire.
Cal Fire officials do not have an estimate yet on when the fire will be fully contained.

Evacuation centers have been established in Calistoga, Kelseyville and Clearlake for the thousands of residents who had to flee from the fire.
