Vehicle Crash, Fire Blocking Highway 116

State Highway 116 is closed in both directions west of Rohnert Park due to a vehicle collision and fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision on eastbound Highway 116 just east of Blank Road was reported at 5:24 p.m., according to the CHP.

Initial reports from the scene indicate a vehicle collided with a tree and that power lines are down in the area. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, according to the CHP.

Traffic is being diverted on to side roads and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
