Vehicle Hits Gas Meter In Rohnert Park, Causing Leak: PG&E
The incident happened in the 6000 block of Redwood Drive, north of Rohnert Park Expressway and west of U.S. Highway 101.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Personnel with PG&E and Rohnert Park Department Of Public Safety responded to a gas leak Thursday caused by a vehicle hitting a gas meter in a commercial area, according to PG&E.
The incident was reported just before 2 p.m. at a business in the 6000 block of Redwood Drive, PG&E Spokeswoman Deanna Contreras told Patch.
"PG&E is working with first responders and the area has been made safe," Contreras said.

Crews safely stopped the flow of gas at 3:16 p.m. but were expected to remain on scene to make repairs to the damaged meter, Contreras said.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety confirmed its response to the area of Redwood Drive and Martin Avenue.

"Please avoid the area if possible," Rohnert Park DPS said in a Nixle alert sent at 2:11 p.m. Thursday.
