Detectives arrest hit-and-run suspect and alleged passenger after locating vehicle tied to crash that left one youth in intensive care.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Two people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured two juveniles in Rohnert Park.
Rohnert Park police said they arrested Petaluma residents Tamisha Joeline Smith, 34, and Bradley Davis McCullough, 25, on Sunday after a two-day investigation into the May 29 collision.
Detectives suspect Smith was the driver who struck the juveniles and then fled the scene, according to a news release.

A judge issued a warrant for her arrest on Sunday before charges were filed, police said. Smith was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing injury. Her bail was set at $25,000, police said.
Investigators also identified McCullough as a passenger in the vehicle. Detectives allege he helped hide the vehicle to prevent authorities from finding it. He was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact and violating probation. His total bail was set at $30,000. Detectives later found the vehicle and seized it as evidence.

Police found the two victims Friday at 9:30 p.m. in the roadway at the intersection of Bodway Parkway and Waterside Lane following a call to dispatchers.
They were riding together on an electric scooter when they were struck by a silver SUV vehicle. The vehicle then fled the scene without stopping or rendering aid, police said.
One of the minors hit has been released from hospital, while the other remains in intensive care with major injuries, Rohnert Park police said.
Authorities are withholding additional information about the victims because of their age.
