Weekend DUI Checkpoint Arrests in Sonoma County
In addition to the DUI arrests, police handed out plenty of tickets for other violations.

Three drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at a checkpoint in Santa Rosa Friday night, according to police.
The checkpoint was set up at 7 p.m. on Fourth Street between Brookwood Avenue and E Street, and it operated until 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
In addition to the three allegedly drunk drivers apprehended at the checkpoint, three other drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI by officers participating in a saturation patrol, police said.

All of the allegedly drunk drivers arrested were residents of Santa Rosa, according to police. Seven drivers were cited or arrested for driving without a license, or driving on a suspended or revoked license, police said, and one additional driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
A total of 364 vehicles were screened at Saturday night’s checkpoint.
