What are you doing to stay protected?

Recent services calls have had some nasty infections.

One being the FBI Warning Your Computer is Locked. You can pay the $200 to unlock your computer, but it is just a trick to get you to send them money.

Another was Microsoft calling to tell you that your computer was sending out malicious files to the internet and that you need to have a Microsoft Expert remote in and fix it for you. The fee is only  $250-$500 and they will also wipe out your My Documents folder!


So what do you do? Call a local tech expert and I am sure their fees are that high. Rohnert Park Computers fee is a flat rate of $75 to clean the computer and it can be done in a 24 Hour time frame.

Want to do it your self? There are some tricky viruses out there and you have to have the right tools and process to clean your computer 100%.

I recommend running a scan with Malwarebytes if your computer is accessible to see what it finds. Also it is HIGHLY Recommend not to delete your temp files and other junk if you think you are infected. That needs to be done as the final step of a cleanup.
