Windsor Town Hall Evacuated After Headache Complaints From Odor
Crews could not locate the source of the smell.

Approximately 16 employees were evacuated from Windsor Town Hall early this afternoon after complaints of a headache from a “very sweet, perfume-like smell,” a Windsor fire official said.
The Windsor Fire Protection District, part of the Central Fire Authority, responded to a call around 11:30 a.m. at the building at 9201 Old Redwood Highway, fire prevention specialist Cyndi Foreman said.
A female employee who felt nauseous was taken to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa, Foreman said.

Firefighters put on protective suits and gas masks but found no obvious source of the smell. A Sonoma County hazardous waste materials team then entered the building in more protective gear to try to identify the source, Foreman said.
The occupants of the building were evacuated around 12:30 p.m., and were still outside the building around 3:15 p.m., according to Foreman.
