Woman Reports Assault On Copeland Creek Path In Rohnert Park
The female told police the man groped her, but she fought him off and he fled.

A woman reported she was walking home Tuesday at approximately 6 p.m. on the north side of the Copeland Creek path in Rohnert Park, just west of Seed Farm Drive, when a male jumped out behind her and wrapped his arms around her, police said.
The male then reached his hands down and started rubbing her thighs and crotch, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
The victim said she fought off the man, and he ran westbound on the creek path, police said.

The victim described the suspect as a white male in his 20s with a medium build, short brown hair, and wearing a baseball hat, a white t-shirt, gray shorts, and carrying a small black backpack, police said.
Rohnert Park police ask that anyone walking on or around the Copeland Creek path to please be watchful for anyone matching the above description and contact the Public Safety Department Dispatch Center immediately at (707) 584-2611 if they see someone who matches the description.
