Woman In Wheelchair Struck By Vehicle In Sebastopol

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- UPDATED: A 27-year-old woman in a wheelchair was critically injured this morning when she was struck by a vehicle in Sebastopol, according to police. The crash happened at 10:04 a.m. Thursday on Bodega Avenue and Ragle Road as the woman was crossing Bodega.

The driver, a 79-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. A witness estimated that he was driving at roughly 30 mph when the crash occurred.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors, according to police, and the driver was shaken but not injured.
