Six Rosemont Jr. Wolverine football midget players were selected to play in the Shriners East West bowl. 90 kids get invited and they have to not only play but they must do some community service. Part of the community service it to sell tickets for the game. 60 to be exact. The kids are split into two teams. East and West. The game was played last week-end and the West won 33 to 24. Out of the 90 kids that played 45 were selected to go to Florida and represent The Sacramento Youth Football League. Four players from Rosemont were picked.
We are having a fund raiser/donation event this Saturday at Straw Hat pizza in Rosemont. Straw Hat has offered to give a portion of it's sales from 5pm to 9pm to help get these four Rosemont football players to Florida to play in two bowl games on December 10 and 11 next month. I am asking you all to please call and e-mail your friends and neighbors to help a good cause. This is a great opportunity for these kids to represent there community in a positive way.
