  1. Some much-needed traffic safety improvements are being made at Folsom Lake Crossing starting this spring. “Median barrier rails will be installed on Folsom Lake Crossing, between the Johnny Cash Bridge and Folsom Spillway Access Road, and on East Natoma Street, between Gionata Way to the Folsom Lake Crossing intersection.” (ABC10.com KXTV)
  2. Mark Watts was appointed by the Placer County Board of Supervisors to represent District 5 on the Placer County Planning Commission. Watts was a lobbyist and governmental relations consultant in Sacramento for decades. (Roseville Today)
  3. More affordable housing will be built in North Central Roseville, due to rezoning approved by the Roseville City Council last week. "The North Central Roseville Specific Plan is 1,824 acres and is located between Interstate 80 and Washington Boulevard." The Specific Plan includes housing for 11,397 residents, of which 360 units are slated for affordable housing. (Gold Country Media)
  4. The Rocklin City Council reviewed a master plan for the Sunrise Whitney Recreation Area (SWRA) last week. The first phase of the project will build out an area called The Hub. "This area includes various amenities identified by staff and the community as priority, such as a play structure, restrooms, pickleball courts, shaded seating, and more." (rocklin.ca.us)

  • Don't miss breakfast with the Easter Bunny on March 1 at the Maidu Community Center! This is a ticketed event and all attendees must register in advance. (roseville.ca.us)
  • Don't forget that Wine Down Wednesday is back in downtown Roseville. The entrance fee gets you five 1-ounce tastings. Register in advance and skip the line!
