Invest in Downtown Roseville with new fee credit (ca.gov) — Roseville is rolling out a new Downtown Development Impact Fee Credit Program offering up to $50,000 in fee credits for qualifying projects that boost jobs, housing, and revitalization downtown. If you're planning residential, mixed-use, or pedestrian-focused commercial development, you can apply starting in October, with credits automatically applied to building permits and additional incentives like fee deferrals and facade rebates available. 
2. Bosch begins silicon carbide chip sample production at California plant backed by $225 million CHIPS Act agreement (gcn.com) — Bosch has begun sample production of silicon carbide chips at its Roseville facility, backed by up to $225 million in CHIPS Act funding toward a $2 billion site transformation. The project will modernize the longtime semiconductor plant, retain its experienced workforce, and shift to advanced SiC technology crucial for electric vehicles and energy systems, with full commercial production targeted for 2026.
3. Driver arrested after pursuit in west Placer County (2news.com) — A traffic stop near Industrial and Athens avenues in west Placer County turned into a short vehicle and foot pursuit before deputies arrested a Lodi man on multiple felony charges. Roseville police and fire departments, along with the CHP, helped track and safely end the chase, which also involved outstanding kidnapping and domestic violence warrants from Bay Area agencies.
4. Ethan Nascimento wins first ARCA West race at All-American in photo finish (theracingexperts.com) — Race fans in Roseville saw a thriller at All-American Speedway as Ethan Nascimento captured his first ARCA Menards Series West win in the Napa Auto Parts 150 by just 0.038 seconds. The tightly contested race featured multiple cautions, lead changes, and strong runs from rookies and veterans, setting up more regional short-track action later this month.
5. Feds Say an Executive Manager Stole $2.3 Million From His Employer and Spent Most of It Gambling (wealthofgeeks.com) — A Roseville resident and executive manager has been charged in federal court with allegedly diverting more than $2.3 million from a Placer County employer over about two and a half years. Prosecutors say most of the money was spent gambling, and detail how payments were redirected and records altered, while also emphasizing he is presumed innocent and highlighting fraud-prevention steps for businesses.
