- The City of Roseville is monitoring the incoming storm systems scheduled to hit the area through the weekend. "Heavy rain and strong winds are predicted for the next several days. These are predicted to be warmer storms with higher snow levels in the mountains." Learn more and be prepared at roseville.ca.us/storm. (roseville.ca.us)
- Youth theater program Take Note Troupe is back in the community that started it all! The troupe returns to Roseville in its new facility at 9001 Foothills Blvd. “It is only fitting since we got our start doing Shakespeare in the park at the bandstand in Roseville’s Royer Park years ago. Since then our growth in program and additional support from more communities has been wonderful to be a part of,” said LaRee Florence, Founding Creative Director of Take Note Troupe. You can take a tour of the new facility and be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce on March 27. (Roseville Today)
- A Rocklin teen with Down Syndrome is inspiring young readers for a second time. Another book based on 14-year-old Sofia Sanchez's journey is on bookstore shelves now. It's called "You Are Loved" and it accompanies her book published earlier, "You Are Enough." The books' messages include "diversity, inclusion, awareness about people with disabilities, blended and multi-generational family structures, and adoption." Sounds like a story we all need to hear. (KCRA Sacramento)
- If you're thinking of heading up to Tahoe this weekend, Placer County has a message for you: be patient! The area is already inundated with snow and still in the process of digging out, just as another storm is about to hit. "The region has been cut off from supply shipments for several days, which means fuel is low and groceries supplies are limited. We are advising visitors to bring their own emergency supplies and additional fuel to ensure they are prepared for a worst-case scenario." (placer.ca.gov)

- "The Loomis Lions Club will host a community town hall devoted to fentanyl abuse at 6 p.m. March 21 at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis." The goal of the program is to increase awareness of the dangers involved with fentanyl, especially in small towns like Loomis, Rocklin and Newcastle. The three-person panel will include the mother of a fentanyl victim. (Gold Country Media)
