  1. The Placer real estate market is finally starting to soften. In January "listings are down 17.6 percent from a year ago. Purchase price is down 6.1 percent and days on the market are up 88 percent from the same time in 2022." Placer County Association of Realtors President David Uhte characterizes these changes as a "normalizing" of the recent hot market. (Gold Country Media)
  2. Roseville Police received 483 911 calls and made 114 arrests between February 12 and February 25. Check out the rest of the statistics for the period on the department's Facebook page.   3. While the City of Roseville came through the fires and floods of the last several months very well, residents still need to be aware of the community's vulnerability to natural disasters. "Attend a virtual public meeting and learn about potential risks in our area, steps the City is taking, and what you can do to be more prepared and educated. You'll also have an opportunity to share your input and ask questions." The event is March 16 at 5:00 p.m. (roseville.ca.us)
  4. The City of Rocklin is holding a panel discussion on March 8, "Community Conversations on Race – The evolution of policing in America and in Placer County." Residents of Rocklin and Roseville are encouraged to attend to discuss "our perspectives and questions about police practices and policies." The panel will include representatives from both the Rocklin and Roseville police departments. (Roseville Today)
