Tower Bridge Adds Architectural Layer To Sacramento Skyline: 5 Photos
This mechanical wonder debuted in 1935, just one year after construction began to replace an older bridge at this spot.
SACRAMENTO, CA — Construction on Sacramento's beautiful Tower Bridge began 90 years ago and it has been a local landmark since 1935. According to its historical marker, the vertical lift bridge is 737 feet long, while the two vertical towers are 160 feet tall. Claus Weisemann took these photos during the golden hour, which made the paint color glow more intensely.
