• Sheriff's Office conducts sting targeting adults buying alcohol for minors (montereyherald.com) — Law enforcement based in Salinas recently ran a “shoulder tap” sting that led to three citations for adults accused of buying alcohol for underage decoys in Seaside and Marina. Deputies say one cited buyer was only 19, and a store clerk was also cited for allegedly selling to him without checking ID. The Sheriff’s Office hopes publicizing these operations will deter adults from supplying alcohol to minors. 
• Mini cows bring joy to adults with developmental disabilities in Pacific Grove (ksbw.com) — A Salinas-based farm, the Monterey Mini Cow Company, brought its miniature cows to the Gateway Center in Pacific Grove, giving adults with developmental disabilities a rare hands-on animal experience. Participants fed and petted the cows, while staff emphasized how partnerships with Salinas organizations help residents engage more fully with the wider community.
