2 Dead at Banker's Hill Women's Shelter: Report
BREAKING: The deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide, a San Diego police lieutenant said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Two people were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide Thursday at a Banker's Hill women's shelter, according to San Diego police and news reports.
The San Diego Fire Department was first dispatched to the scene at the home at 115 Redwood St. at 3:15 p.m. in response to a 911 call from a person who said they were having a conversation with the victim through a locked door when they heard a loud bang from inside the room, San Diego police Lt. Ray Valentin said.
Firefighter/paramedics entered through a window to the room and saw a man and woman who were unresponsive, call for assistance from the San Diego Police Department, Valentin said.

Fire personnel then forced their way into the room, where they pronounced both people dead at the scene.
According to news reports, the deceased may have been an employee of the shelter and her boyfriend.

The San Diego Police Homicide Unit arrived and is investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, the lieutenant said.
"The identities of the victim and suspect have not been confirmed at this time," he said.
